So how did we start? And where did we get our brand name from?

We would love to tell you a wild story of how we thought of our ideas within a dream or an epiphany but we were actually just driving home from work and were discussing an idea we had for fully personalised candles. We wanted to be able to gift something which was completely unique to the person and that’s how we originally started Sorella, on hands-free down the M621.

Some of you may have already guessed but Sorella is sisters in italian. When thinking of a brand name, we wanted to incorporate how important family is to us but we also wanted to make it pretty (to reflect the craftsmanship and beauty of our personalised candles). No, we didn’t just choose Sorella because we like pasta and pizza!

So a bit about us, what makes Sorella so special?

We are OPPOSITES in every sense of the word. We have different skill sets and let us tell you, it was hard when we started. If anybody tells you working with family is a walk in the park…. Let us tell you it isn’t. We have learnt over time to celebrate our differences and Sorella definitely wouldn't be the same if we didn't have them.

Growing up on a farm, our family is everything to us. Our partners and parents are just as involved in Sorella as we are and you wouldn’t believe what they get up to in their evening job (which they absolutely didn't apply for). 

We are passionate about sustainability and protecting the environment which is why all our packaging is sustainable. We love love and sharing wonderful thoughtful gifts. But most importantly, we are excited to work together and bring our customers ideas and custom candles to life. 

What do we specialise in?

When we started Sorella, we wanted to ensure every single one of our products was unique which is where the idea of adding trinkets to the candles came from. For those who don't know, trinkets are what we call the shapes we add to the top of the candles.
